Laundry Room Leak & Wall Cavity Remediation in Brick, NJ
A slow washer supply leak caused hidden mold behind the laundry and utility walls. We opened, cleaned and dried the cavities.
The Problem
A slow drip from a washing machine supply valve had been leaking into the wall for months. By the time a stain appeared on the hallway side, the bottom plate, studs and insulation behind the washer and utility sink were heavily contaminated, and the floor tile next to the wall had started to lift.
Our Solution
We sealed the laundry room with containment, removed the drywall, insulation and baseboards on the affected walls and lifted the damaged flooring. All framing and the wall cavity were cleaned and treated, the plumber replaced the supply valves, and we dried the area before the homeowner's contractor installed new drywall and flooring.
