Post-Flood Whole-Floor Gut & Mold Remediation in Toms River, NJ
Storm flooding left mold behind every wall of a ranch home. We stripped the floor to the studs, cleaned the framing and dried the structure.
The Problem
A ranch home near the bay took on several inches of storm water. The house was dried with fans by the previous owner, but within a few weeks mold was visible at the bottom of nearly every wall and the whole floor smelled musty. Testing confirmed elevated airborne spores in every room, so a room-by-room approach no longer made sense.
Our Solution
We treated the entire floor as one work area: contents were removed, then drywall, insulation and flooring were stripped down to the studs and slab. All framing was cleaned by sanding and HEPA vacuuming, treated and encapsulated, and the bottom plates were checked for rot. Commercial dehumidifiers and HEPA air scrubbers ran continuously until moisture readings and clearance testing confirmed the house was ready for a mold-resistant rebuild.
