Flood Cut & Wet Drywall Removal in Point Pleasant, NJ
Fast flood cuts and drying after a storm surge kept a ground-floor apartment from turning into a mold job.
The Problem
Storm surge pushed water into a ground-floor unit, soaking the lower part of every wall and the vinyl floor. The owner called us the next morning, which gave us a chance to dry the structure before mold growth started.
Our Solution
We extracted the remaining water, made flood cuts two feet above the water line throughout the unit, removed wet insulation and baseboards and treated the exposed cavities. Dehumidifiers and air movers ran for three days with daily moisture readings. Because the work started early, no mold remediation was needed and the owner was able to rebuild quickly.
