The Problem

After a dishwasher leak caused mold in the wall behind the kitchen cabinets, the family needed the work done without damaging new floors, cabinets and the large dining room next door. Air samples also showed elevated spore levels in the open kitchen and dining area, so cleaning the air and surfaces was as important as removing the wet materials.

Our Solution

We protected all floors with heavy floor guard, built floor-to-ceiling containment walls with zipper doors around the affected cabinet wall and set HEPA air scrubbers throughout the open floor plan. After the damaged materials were removed and the cavity cleaned, the whole kitchen and dining area was HEPA vacuumed and wiped, and the contents on open shelves were cleaned. Clearance testing confirmed normal air quality.
